The home is the best place to nurture the faith of children. At Atonement, we help families practice, model, and teach faith to their children. We provide ministries, events, and resources to introduce the family to the Bible and the journey of faith in God. Join us!

Sunday School Classes
for children age 3 through Grade 5 at 9:15-10:30am
Atonement's Sunday School classes are designed to help the child get to know Jesus through the Bible in fun, creative ways. Teachers create a loving, safe environment for children to help them grow in friendships with God and each other.
Classes are available during the school year and are located in the educational wing. Our 2010-11 year will begin September 12. There are NO registration forms or fees. Families are invited to come on a Sunday. Children are excused to Sunday School classes in the beginning of the 9:15am worship services. Parents are always welcome to observe their children's classes. Friends and guests are welcome, too!
Bible Study for Parents and Grandparents
During the School Year for adults on Tuesdays at 9:30am in Room 201 for men on Sundays at 9:15am in Pastor's Office
Conversations about God at home can have a lasting, powerful effect on our children's faith relationships with God. Atonement offers Bible Studies during the school year that explore the children's Sunday School lessons. Adults study the children's Bible lesson, apply it to their lives, and learn to help their children apply it to their lives.
Little Steps Together Classes
Educational classes for 2, 3, & 4 year olds with an adult
Step into special moments with your 2, 3, & 4 your old child. Little Steps Together classes offer the opportunity for an adult and child to partner with a qualified educator in nurturing and training the child's social, emotional, and spiritual growth. The classes encourage the development of positive values, self concept, social skills, and attitude toward learning in a loving, safe, small group environment.
Sessions for 2, 3, & 4 year olds with an adult are offered in the fall, winter, and spring. Each Little Steps Together class is prepared and led by a qualified educator who builds theme-based learning experiences. Each session will include circle time, singing, playing, doing a craft project, and sharing a snack. Class sizes are restricted to 8 children. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Family Steps Together Events
Friday Events for Kindergarten & Early Elementary Children and their Families
Ready for an event that will have your whole family laughing and enjoying time together? Ready to build and nurture your child's faith through fun and engaging activities?
Family Steps Together Includes:
- Family Supper
- Interactive Bible Lesson and Songs
- Family Games
- Craft Project
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Stepping Stones Family Ministry
Atonement helps families nurture the faith of their children through special workshops and celebrations.
We come alongside the family at special moments in the child’s life to help parents and grandparents train and encourage friendship with God. Throughout the year we offer these workshops and resources:
- Baptism—at any time
- Preschool Prayer Bear Workshop—in September
- Bibles for 2nd Graders Workshop—in February
- First Communion Classes for 5th Grade and older Students—in November
- Confirmation Classes for 8th & 9th Graders—during the school year
- Graduation Blessing—in June
Special Events
Throughout the year Atonement hosts special events to foster friendships among children and families, nurture faith growth, and support positive parenting.

Summer Events and Resources
Summer is a great time to encourage our children to grow closer to God.
Check out Atonement's Homepage to find out more about current opportunities, such as: Spirit Music Camp, Vacation Bible School, and Camp LOL—lots of laughs for 3rd through 5th Graders. All events are open to the community. We offer Travel Bags filled with DVDs, CD stories, games, devotions, travel journal, and a puppet—all carefully selected to help the family grow closer to God in a fun way. There is NO charge to use the travel bag and they can be checked out from the educational wing at Atonement.
