Ministries
Children and Family Ministry
Marcia Marquardt, consecrated as a deaconess, is our coordinator for Children and Family Ministry, facilitating:
- Our Child Care team (offered for all gatherings at Atonement by coordinator Wendy McCreary)
- Sunday morning learning opportunities for pre-school through grade 5
- Fellowship activities for young families throughout the year
- Midweek and Sunday Bible Study
- Our newest program, "Little Steps Together," for parents and young children (begins fall 2010)
- Stepping Stones
- Prayer bear: (as children enter Sunday school families learn how to have devotional time at home).
- "My first Bible" (presented to children 2nd grade and older following family time instruction in bible study at home).
- First Communion (children 5th grade and older receive instruction along with their families).
Youth and Family Ministry
- Junior League: Sunday morning and monthly programming for youth grades 6-8.
- Confirmation Ministry: Our 2-year program to invite youth and their families to affirm their commitment to Jesus (grades 8 and 9).
- Senior League Ministry: Sunday morning and monthly programming for youth grades 9-12.
Adult and Senior Ministries
- Young at Heart is our fellowship and learning ministry for persons 55 and older.
Bible Studies
Men's Study Sunday—Every Sunday from 9:15 am to 10:30 am
Join us on Sunday mornings to study God's Word, a study geared just for men. Child care is available. Jim Schaefer will lead the study.
Monthly Bible Study—Third Sunday of every month from noon to 2:00 pm
Each month we gather around lunch and God's Word to study two or three lessons from the Sunday School cirriculum. Child care is available. Participants bring a dish to pass for lunch together. Please bring your own beverages. Marcia Marquardt will lead the study.
Weekly Bible Study—Every Tuesday from 9:30 am to 11:15 am
Members of Atonement, Bethel, and the community attend this study. Child care is available. Marcia Marquardt will lead the study.
